Mammography

A mammogram is an X-ray image of the breasts. It can be used either for breast cancer screening or for diagnostic purposes, such as to investigate symptoms or unusual findings on another imaging test.

During a mammogram, the breasts are compressed between two firm surfaces to spread out the breast tissue. Then an X-ray captures black-and-white images that are displayed on a computer screen and examined for signs of cancer.

The intelligent design of ASPIRE Cristalle’s patented Comfort Paddle provides noticeably less pain and anxiety for the patient.
The unique Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) detector pixel design on ASPIRE Cristalle outperforms traditional pixel arrays to help enable superior diagnostic accuracy for radiologists.
Contrast-enhanced digital mammography (CEDM) uses a dual-energy technique performed after the IV administration of iodinated contrast agent to identify abnormalities on the basis of angiogenesis, as well as morphologic features and density.
